As many of you surely have noticed we have not posted recently. In fact, one of the biggest reasons has to do with our new production facility. We have poured much of our time and resources in to creating a facility that will make your experience with Choffy, as a product and a company, even better. We are very pleased to announce that we have a growing number of Choffy merchandise items available for purchase. We know that our friends and fans have been asking for this for awhile, and we are glad to make this available. Order here.

We suggest that you take particular notice of the fit of the shirts. There are some that have specific attributes like those that are slim fit, or run small in size.

We are Interesting!

Jason Sherwood will be presenting “Does chocolate contain caffeine?” at Interesting Portland Thursday, April 8th at Norse Hall in Portland, OR.

The idea behind Interesting is simple: an evening of 20 interesting people each talking about something they love/hate/do/did/know/care about/obsess over.

We want to replicate the experience of clicking from one really good blog to another, ranging haphazardly across culture, sciences, arts, crafts, whatever.

But with the added benefit of direct contact in a relaxed, conversational setting. The only requirement is that each presentation be either 3 or 10 minutes long.

This time topics include:

* How to Pick Out Fruit
* A Contemporary Idea of Justice
* One Day Robert Duncan Went Insane
* Doughnut Eating Contest by Voodoo Doughnuts
* 1927: The Real Birth of Cool

The evening starts at 6pm with mingling and nattering at the bar. Speaker will kick off around 6:30 and will go to 9:30 (with a break in the middle to rest the brain and talk). More mingling and nattering will continue at the bar afterwards. Of course.

We are grateful to be invited to speak at the first such event in Portland, however Interesting has already been a big success all around the world, as evidenced the events held annually in London, NYC, Amsterdam and Sydney.

We will be sharing cups of Choffy throughout the night with all the attendees. Please come by and say hi. We look forward to seeing you there!

Choffy Loves San Francisco!

We just returned from a very busy trip to the San Francisco Chocolate Salon. It was an amazing trip, with hundreds of people trying Choffy for the first time! We are sorry our lines were long, and are grateful you waited. It was great to see so many people interested sipping brewed chocolate. We had our four big brewers working non-stop the whole day, and still we had a hard time keeping up! We made some great new friends, and we hope a lot of new Choffy fans!

Thanks San Francisco for a great trip! We would love to hear from folks that we saw there. We can’t wait to come back!

We want to thank all those who attended the Show and Tell PDX (a conference of creative professionals in Portland, Oregon) and in particular, thank the great guys at Substance for allowing us to present and share Choffy. In an audience of self-described “persnickety drinkers,” we were excited with the large number of people who expressed their love for Choffy and their support for our growing company.

For those that did not attend, Substance was nice enough to record the event. It was a fun and lively crowd!

We are very excited about participating the San Francisco Chocolate Salon.

The premier chocolate show on the West Coast takes place this Spring at the 3rd Annual San Francisco International CHOCOLATE SALON, Saturday March 21st, 2009 at the Fort Mason Center’s Herbst Pavilion in San Francisco. Chocolate aficionados, fanatics, buyers and journalists can experience the finest in artisan, gourmet & premium chocolate in one of the world’s great culinary metropolitan areas.

Our team is excited to share Choffy with you. We are proud to take our place next to other fine chocolatiers, confectioners, and other culinary artisans. Please stop by and say hello. You can find us at booth 55. While at the show, go see our good friends Amano Artisan Chocolates as well. Their chocolates are amazing. We share a deep passion for fine cacão.

Silver is the new Black (for a limited time)

We are excited to release a new silver Choffy 12 oz. bag. Some of you may have seen some orders already come in with them. Don’t worry, the Choffy is exactly the same. The bags are still equipped with the resealable tops (by overwhelming agreement), the only difference is the color. These bags will be available only for a limited time and then we will be back in black. You will see more of the “special silver” bags as we highlight and introduce new products in the coming future.
