yay! i found you guys. i went to the chocolate salon in march - didn't buy any choffy then because i was on a trip to sf and didn't have a ton of room in my luggage. but i remembered the drink and was trying to find you guys on the web. i just don't do coffee so would rather have choffy.

I heard a story about a lady that lived to be 100 years old. When asked what she attributed to her longevity, she said that she ate about 1lb. of chocolate a week (depending on the type you purchase, however, this can get expensive!). That's about 2oz. per day! Not that much really. Just 1oz. in the morning and 1oz. in the evening. And from what your studies say above (I'd like to see more sources cited), it sounds like a good practice. However, stay away from the milk chocolate. Choffy and dark chocolate is the way to go. I'll be trying some Choffy soon! It sounds FANTASTIC!

Sandy,

1. ORAC score is over 8500 IU per 8 oz.

2. I am not sure of the PH off hand. I put in the question to our Director of Product Development and will follow up when I have that answer. Thanks.

3. It is the brewing that gives it the great rich flavor.

4. Sorry, but the actual production of Choffy is something that we take very seriously, and keep confidential.

5. Choffy is 100% organic cacão. Frankly, it doesn't need anything else.

6. As we mentioned in question 3, it is the brewing that gives Choffy the distinct and rich flavor. Choffy is brewed chocolate. It is fundamental to what Choffy is.

Thanks for your interest in Choffy.

1) What is the ORAC score per gram wt?

2) Is it net alkaline, or acidic - what is the PH?

3) Why is it not a powder?

4) Do you grind up the pod, also, to make the product (ie - the hard outside shell of the cacao bean)?

5) What is in the product besides cacao?

6) Why so complicated - very expensive product, it you have to "brew" it, rather than just stir it in.

     Thank you.

Wow. Tough crowd down under.

Seriously though, Sharon we appreciate your candor. As a company we are learning and growing right along with our product and its fans. We are dedicated to sharing Choffy with everyone we can and are refining ourselves along the way. Thanks for taking an interest in Choffy and while we currently can not sell Choffy in Australia, we hope you will continue to keep an eye out for us.

Thanks

Sammie,

Choffy is more similar to coffee in consistency then tea. However if made too thin, it could take on a tea-like appearance and flavor. We recommend brewing it for a more robust flavor.

If you are interested in ordering, you can do so directly from our website by clicking on the "Order Choffy" link on our primary navigation or click here ==> http://drinkchoffy.com/order/

Jason,

Thanks for your comment. Where are you in the great white north? We are not able to sell Choffy internationally at this time, but depending on where you are, might have someone in the states that can get some to you. We hope that we will be able to sell directly to Canada soon.

As for your second question, our bags of Choffy are roasted and ground specifically for your home brewing, and is brewed in any of the ways that you might brew coffee.

We hope you get a chance to try some!
